✅ Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:
1️⃣ Current Enrollment
You must:
Have completed your 100-level second semester and be moving to 200-level
OR
Have been admitted in the 2024/2025 academic session
OR
Be a Direct Entry student newly admitted into 200-level (and still in second year by April 2026)
2️⃣ Academic Performance
Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or its equivalent)
3️⃣ Program Type
Must be a full-time undergraduate student
Not open to part-time, sandwich, or similar programs
🚫 Who Should NOT Apply
Siblings of current Alex Otti Foundation scholars (until their sibling’s scholarship tenure ends)
However:
Siblings of past beneficiaries are allowed to apply.

📄 Required Documents
Applicants must prepare:
📑 Signed statement of results for first academic session (issued by Department or Faculty Admin Officer)
📊 Direct Entry applicants must submit qualifying examination results
🏠 Proof of residency in Abia State (letter from community/religious leader OR utility bill covering the last three months before interview)
🆔 Valid means of identification
📝 A 1,200-word original essay
✍️ Essay Requirement (Very Important)
Applicants must write 1,200 words, divided into 400 words each, addressing:
What is the greatest innovation of the 21st century?
How has this innovation impacted you personally?
How can Nigeria leverage this innovation for development?
⚠️ The foundation strongly emphasizes originality.
Plagiarism or excessive use of AI tools may lead to immediate disqualification. They want to hear your voice, your thoughts, your reasoning.
