The Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026 is now open for applications! This prestigious program, presented by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and Millennium Campus Network (MCN), is a semester-long leadership development opportunity designed for undergraduates committed to creating meaningful social impact.

Whether you are an aspiring changemaker, social entrepreneur, or passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Millennium Fellowship provides mentorship, training, and recognition to help you scale your initiatives.

About the Millennium Fellowship


The Millennium Fellowship equips undergraduate students with the tools, network, and support to:
Develop leadership skills
Build impactful social projects
Connect with a global community of changemakers

The program is completely free for students and universities. There are no fees or hidden costs. Fellows gain access to mentorship, training sessions, and opportunities to showcase their work at the United Nations.



Eligibility Criteria


Individual Eligibility


To qualify for the Millennium Fellowship:
1. Be at least 18 years old

2. Be a registered undergraduate student during the program duration (August–November 2026)

3. Have a genuine interest in social impact work

4. Demonstrate alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)


Campus Eligibility


Each participating campus must have a minimum of 8 selected Millennium Fellows

Competitive campuses may have 15–20+ fellows

To improve chances of selection, campuses are encouraged to share the opportunity widely



How the Program Works

The Millennium Fellowship selection process occurs in two main rounds:

Round 1: Initial Application

Introduce yourself and describe your motivation for joining

Reviewed on a rolling basis

Priority Deadline: December 31, 2025

Round 2: Project Submission

Invitation-only after passing Round 1

Submit details of a social impact project (idea or ongoing)

Show your emotional investment and dedication to the cause

Optionally, apply to be a Campus Director
Include one recommendation (academic or professional)

Step-by-Step Application Guide


1. Check eligibility – Make sure you meet the age, enrollment, and SDG alignment requirements

3. Start Round 1 application – Fill out your personal information, including name and email

4. Submit motivation statement – Explain why you want to join the fellowship

5. Wait for Round 2 invitation – Shortlisted candidates will receive an email invitation

6. Submit Round 2 application – Include project details, recommendation, and optional Campus Director application

7. Finalize submission – Ensure all documents and information are accurate

8. Receive notification of selection – Successful candidates will be announced prior to program start
